The FHE Technical Consortium for Hardware (FHETCH) was recently established to promote quantum-resilient cryptography through fully homomorphic encryption, aiming to facilitate collaboration among FHE developers, hardware manufacturers, and cloud providers to advance commercial FHE solutions. This alliance addresses the need for practical standardization in FHE, bridging the performance gap between existing solutions and enterprise requirements, with a focus on developing FHE hardware acceleration technologies, establishing open technical standards aligned with global regulatory frameworks, and enhancing interoperability with data center formats and software libraries. FHETCH seeks to create an API abstraction layer to enable seamless integration between FHE hardware accelerators and libraries, enhancing deployment flexibility, simplifying application development, and accelerating the innovation of new hardware and software solutions to ensure long-term privacy and compliance
