Various departments like ASIC, ATO, and APRA will receive funding over multiple years to combat scams and improve cybersecurity. The budget also includes investments in enhancing ICT and security measures for departments like Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, upgrading NDIS systems, and modernizing legacy systems of APRA and ASIC. Additionally, funds are allocated for industry codes to address scams, cybersecurity improvements for Australian Sports Foundation, and public awareness campaigns on identifying and reporting scams.
