The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) in the UK is extending its Protective Domain Name System (PDNS) for Schools program to provide free website security services to all UK schools and education service providers, aiming to enhance cybersecurity in response to a significant increase in cyber incidents affecting the education sector, offering protection against malicious websites, malware, ransomware, and spyware while urging educational organizations to strengthen their cyber resilience for a safer digital future, with the program launched in 2017 and renewed in 2024 with new partners Cloudflare and Accenture, allowing educational settings like multi-academy trusts, academies, independent schools, and school internet service providers to sign up through their DNS providers for the PDNS services.
