The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) convened with Commissioners and Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) from countries with EU adequacy decisions like Andorra, Argentina, Canada, Japan, and others to address multilateral engagement on advisory work, guidelines, and enforcement collaboration. Adequacy decisions ensure safe data transfers due to alignment in data protection laws, enabling the free flow of personal data without needing specific authorizations, thereby encouraging international data transfers without requiring Standard Contractual Clauses or Binding Corporate Rules.
