About 22,000 victims reported the threats. Kivimäki, a notorious criminal hacker, was identified as the suspect and fled the country after being charged in October 2022, but was arrested in France. The sentence of six years and three months was given, reduced from seven years as Kivimäki agreed to compensate his victims. Despite the gravity of his actions, Kivimäki will serve approximately half of the sentence due to juvenile convictions not counting towards offender status in Finland. ```
